Cats are natural hunters — they need daily play to stay happy and out of trouble. Happy Cat helps you build a simple, guilt-free routine that sticks.
See it in action
Why Happy Cat
Research shows that just 10–15 minutes of daily interactive play reduces cat anxiety, prevents obesity, and stops unwanted behaviours like furniture scratching and midnight zoomies. But life gets busy — and guilt creeps in.
Happy Cat makes it effortless. Set a goal, get reminded, hit start, done. Over time your cat will start coming to you for play — and you won't need the app anymore.
Everything you need
Get notified when it's playtime — and again if life gets in the way. A gentle nudge that keeps your cat from being forgotten.
Counts down your session right on screen, as a Live Activity on your lock screen, and on your Apple Watch. No excuses to stop early.
Build a streak of consecutive play days. Streaks are addictive — once you see that number climbing, missing a day feels wrong.
See all your past play sessions, total time invested, your best streak, and your favourite play day. Your dedication, measured.
Unlock a new cat toy idea every day — made from household items like toilet rolls, straws, and foil. Keep playtime fresh and free.
Add your cat's photo, name, age and sex. Because every great habit deserves a face to play for.
Simple by design
Choose how many sessions per day and how long each one should be. Even 5 minutes counts.
Happy Cat notifies you at the right time — and follows up if you haven't played yet.
Start the timer, grab that wand toy, and let your cat unleash its inner predator.
Watch your streak grow. After a few weeks, your cat will come to get you — habit formed.
Also on Apple Watch
The Happy Cat Apple Watch app shows the remaining play time right on your wrist, so you can stay fully in the moment with your cat. When the session ends, your watch celebrates too.

It downloads automatically alongside the iPhone app. Find it in your Apple Watch app list and open it during a play session to follow your remaining play time right on your wrist.
First, check inside Happy Cat that your reminders are switched on in Settings. If they're enabled there, head to your iPhone's Settings → Apps → Happy Cat and make sure notification permissions are granted.
You can update your cat's photo by tapping it on the home screen. For name, age, or sex changes, drop us a line at support@happycatapp.net and we'll get that sorted for you.
Not yet — Happy Cat is currently iPhone only. Android support is on the roadmap. Follow us to hear when it arrives.
Cat behaviour experts recommend 15–30 minutes of interactive play per day, split into shorter sessions. If you're just starting out, one 10-minute session daily is a great habit to build. You can adjust your goals anytime in Settings.
